The Coronavirus Pandemic has taken the world by storm claiming a number of lives, and leaving many other people fighting for theirs. This has brought about a number of measures to curb the spread of the virus including; Partial and extreme lockdowns, maximum use of facemasks, among others.
It’s because of such a background that Uganda Technology And Management University (UTAMU) came up with a free online course with three modules, on all anyone needs to know about the Coronavirus Pandemic.
This makes UTAMU if not the only University, the first one to offer such a course that everyone would actually need during this pandemic.
“It is very important to look at what society needs and offer it free of charge as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and that’s what us as UTAMU often do. We saw a need to inform the public about the COVID-19 pandemic and we created a free course for all,” Professor Sadiq Yusuf, the VC UTAMU said.
