Sheila Gashumba Outs Media Houses For Low Pay

1 Mins read

Bukedde TV, NTV, NBS have over time been mentioned among the best TV stations in the country, however, do you know how much your favourite TV personality takes home???

Many employees have run to Twitter, a social media platform to whine about how they are long worked yet less paid by mostly NTV and NBS which could relate as the biggest TV stations in the land.

According to Gashumba, Media personalities are paid peanuts.

Here’s her account;

“This is a general problem at all TV STATIONS. The problem is that most people think I’m trying to fight NTV!! No I’m not!! I’m trying to fight for better pay for TV presenters, camera crew, producers etc!! Y’all deserve much more and you know it!!

“Lol I saw one TV Presenter posting that his from Masaka so 50,000ugshs is okay for his!!! Lol I hope you don’t end up going back to where you came from after reality hits you hard!!! Dream big bro!!! Wakeup.”

Ugandans let’s get serious!

“How come a news anchor working for @ntvkenya earns five times more than the news anchor working for @ntvuganda yet they’re all under one company (Nation Media Group)?”

There’s more on her Twitter. Do you think Media personalities should be paid in the zeros???
