Lockdown Extension! 21 Days Added

Coronavirus has over the months been a maniac killing millions of people.

The National Task force in charge of combating COVID-19 has today resolved to extend the curfew for another 21 days, as per Presidential directives.

The task force meets regularly to asses the the response of the Health Ministry in the effect of COVID19’s continuity.

The Virus has over the months taken many lives and we hop it saves us all.

Currently Uganda has 54 COVID 19 patients and 7 have recovered fully.

A total Seven 7 patients who were positive for COVID-19 and had tested negative twice after 14 days of treatment have been discharged from Entebbe Grade B Hospital.

The remaining 49 confirmed COVID-19 cases are in stable condition at Mulago National Specialized Hospital (20), Entebbe Grade B Hospital (27), Adjumani (1) and Hoima (1) hospitals.

So far, a cumulative of 5,025 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in Uganda.

A total of 244 individuals are still under institutional quarantine.

654 contacts to the confirmed cases are under follow up.

The Ministry of Health continues to appeal to the general population to remain calm but vigilant, practice the preventive measures and STAY AT HOME.
