Chaos in parliament as two men interrupt session

Yesterday afternoon 2 men jumped from the Visitors’ gallery into the Plenary Chambers. They damaged the railings fluorescent tubes and the noise produced was mistaken for gunshots by the people watching on commercial television stations.

When they jumped into the plenary chambers, they started shouting and accusing ministers of corruption. video footage shows one male MP punching one of them. MPs hurried to get away to safety as security tried to arrest these men.

This was during a debate about the Land Information System International conference which is due in Entebbe and other current issues pertaining to land.

The speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga was protected by security personnel as the drama went on.

On September 27, 2017 when 25 Suspended MPs refused to leave the chambers as directed by the speaker, MS Kadaga. This led to chaos and fights amongst them until police officers came and ragged them out. \lsdl
