Muslim clerics in Jinja given chick incubators to improve on their welfare

While presiding over the function in Jinja, the spokesperson UMSC Haji Nsereko Mutumba as the chief guest appealed to County sheikhs to use these incubators in a proper way so that it can achieve the intended goals. Mutumba also urged Muslims youth to refrain from political acts that can lead them into prison. He urged these youth to concentrate on activities that profit them and their communities.

Uganda Muslim Supreme Council(UMSC) in partnership with Social humanitarian aid delivery Uganda (Shadu) a local based humanitarian aid organization in Jinja have donated chicks incubators to County sheikhs in Jinja Muslim district. The move is aimed at enhancing these Muslim clerics in generating income in a bid to improve their livelihood.

This function was also graced by Busoga Regional Kadhi Dr Muhammad Bbowa who expressed gratitude for this initiative geared towards improving livelihood of the sheikhs and imams in the region. He further appealed to head of Shadu Dr Kasim Abdul Balonde to extend such projects to other districts in Busoga.

The head of Shadu Dr Kasim Abdul Balonde said that the essence of these incubators is to see that county sheikhs and imams earn income while serving the Muslim community commonly referred to as Ummah.
