Uganda Is One Of The Most Resource Rich Country In Africa — Muntu

1 Mins read

The National Coordinator of Alliance for National Transformation, Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu has described Uganda as one of the most resource-rich countries in Africa.

He made the remarks while interacting with the party promoters in Kasese

“And nowhere is this more apparent than in the Kasese/Albertine region; snow-capped mountain, a world-renown national park, several mineral resources and vibrant, proud people. The potential here, like in most other parts of the country, is virtually limitless,” he said.

He noted that more than half a century into independence, the people of Uganda still wallow in abject poverty and risk their lives to travel to the Middle East and Europe in search for opportunity and a better life.

“While there are several reasons for this pitiful state of affairs, leadership is chief among them,” he said.

He said Alliance for National Transformation-Uganda is committed to changing this narrative right from LC1 councillors to district chairpersons.

“In the last elections, Kasese overwhelmingly elected opposition leaders that have managed to achieve so much even amidst the challenges of our country’s politics,”

He said ANT is determined to not only continue this in the coming elections, but extend it to the rest of the country.
