There have been some new additions to the President’s advisory team, and these don’t entirely come as a surprise to many. In a bid to be closer to the people he serves, the President of Uganda appointed two new advisers to help him serve the people better.
The newly-appointed senior Presidential Adviser on issues of Kampala Catherine Kusasira has called upon Kyadondo East legislator Hon Robert Kyagulanyi to join President Yoweri Museveni in a fight to uplift the lives of people in the ghetto.
While addressing a press conference at Calendar Hotel yesterday, Kusasira expressed her willingness to be the bridge for anyone willing to work with Museveni. She said her office will not mind about any individual’s political affiliation or standing, as long as the person looks to taking this country further.
“All those who want to meet the president should feel free to come, I will organize and we meet him without any hesitation,” Kusasira said.
“I am going encourage them to form SACCOS to help in ease funding of their projects. This will solve the issue of unemployment, criminal gangs and poverty among others,” she added.
Over the weekend on Saturday, Museveni visited different ghetto areas around Kampala and during his address, he appointed Kusasira as his adviser on Kampala issues. Buchaman, a former Bobi Wine right-hand man was also appointed Presidential Adviser on ghetto issues.
