Olympia Hostel Finally Fires Custodian For Sexual Harassment

Olympia hostel, one of Kikoni’s finest residence for students at the Makerere based university has finally fired their custodian for alleged sexual harassment of the hostel’s female students.

In a letter signed by the Hostel Managing Director, Dr. Joseph Byamugisha, Reuben Nahabwe has been relieved of his duties as custodian to pave way for investigations into the accusations.

“It has been alleged that you have been involved in acts of sexual harassment against residents of Olympia Hostel. Following these allegations, management, at its meeting held on 19th August 2019 decided to suspend you from work paving way for thorough investigations. You are hereby suspended with immediate effect until investigations are completed.” Reads the letter in part.

Reuben Nahabwe has been in the news in the recent weeks for sexual harassment after students residing in the hostel started a successful petition to have him fired.
