Minister Anite Should Resign Advises Imam Kasozi

1 Mins read

Political analyst who is also a Muslim cleric Imam Iddih Kasozi has said that Mafias pop their nose in everything happening in the country and it’s better for  the minister of investment and cooperative Evelyn Anite to resign.

He noted that these mafias are young people who have accumulated wealth and now their effort is to get power.

“If I were Anite I would have resigned because the people fighting her are survivors who are dangerous people. Anite seems to know who is who but she shys away to name names,” he said.

He explained that the first time this word “Mafia” came in Uganda was in 2017 during the Common Wealth Heads of Government meeting (CHOGM) where the former vice president Gilbert Bukenya cried out that he was being haunted by mafias and eventually lost out because he was tampering with people close to the important offices in this country.

He said Mafia became prominent during a regime in Italy where certain people were exploiting public resources in a very unfamiliar manner.

“The people Evelyn Anite is seemly talking about are close to the state house and the presidency, when she campaign for the president in the previous campaign, she thought she was up there and now they are trying to show her .these people have very strong connections, “he said.

He noted that Anite needs to know that if she is  serving the public good not individual good.

“Can Anite go beneath and understand the system from deeper perspective instead of fighting some people like Bemanya? She needs an emotional intelligence to see whom she is dealing with,” he said.
