People Are Tired Of Empty Promises — Opposition MPs

1 Mins read

Kasese Municipality Member of Parliament Hon Robert Centenary has on said that people of Uganda are tired of empty promises and it’s a high time to deal with such kind of situation.

He made the statement while appearing on one of the local TV stations on Tuesday 2nd April 2019.

He added that the practicability of the people’s government leaves a lot to be desired.

“The most important thing at this point in time is the point at which we come together for a common cause,” he said.

Hon Centenary said they might have a candidate of the political party but if there are similar minded forces of change willing to work together, there will be no harm as long as victory is going to be delivered.

“We have to cooperate and work with Hon Bobi Wine because he is part of the opposition in Uganda. We should not alienate him, he is pursuing the same goal like Forum for Democratic Change.”

He urged opposition to come together for a common cause but if there are some individuals who think that certain political entities don’t have much to contribute towards the cause then the opposition would have lost greatly.

“Dr Kizza Besigye being a symbol of the opposition for quite a long time, he should nurture these other political organizations,” he added

Meanwhile Hon Mwijukye Francis said people’s government is about the people who believe in change, people who want to defend Ugandans.

“The opposition is getting stronger. We can have few characters that have decided to remain confused but the opposition is getting stronger and the population too,” Hon Mwijukye said.

He further added that it’s not about parties, it’s about progressive Ugandans who have decided to come up with government that works for the people.
