John Nagenda, a senior media advisor to President Museveni has vetted in on Bobi Wine’s ambitions of becoming the country’s next president.

During a televised interview on NBSTV on Monday 21st January 2019, Nagenda said Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi wine can’t run the country right now and has no capacity to be the president of Uganda.

He claimed that any right-thinking person who believes that Bobi Wine has the ability to become the president is mad.

“Are you talking about the young man who has come up very fast?… Those waves are very good, they keep us at our toes,” he said before adding that; “But for any right-thinking person to believe that Bobi Wine, very nice person, well-spoken and very intelligent, could run a country, they must be very mad.”

However, Nagenda stated that Bobi Wine needs to start practicing now and maybe in the next ten years, he can lead the country of which it may not be possible according to him.

“Maybe if he starts practicing now, in ten years, who knows?”

Nagenda claimed that People Power has no chance because the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is the actual People Power with the ability to drive the direction of the country and decide who becomes president.

“People Power is what we have, the NRM has more people that anybody else,” he added.

He further explained that if Bobi Wine won over NRM, well it’s good luck to him but that won’t happen.

He continued that if it happens, it will be disastrous.

The Kyadondo East Legislator Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine is currently out of the country he went to represent Uganda in one of the biggest concerts in Jamaica dubbed Rebel Salute.
