Speaker Rebecca Kadaga Heeds To The Cry Of 16year Old Albino

Following the story that was broadcast by one of the media outlets about a 16-year-old Elizabeth Nabirye who lives with albinism along with her young brother, has moved the speaker of Parliament to offer assistance.

This family makes and sell pancakes in their nearby town to raise money that helps in providing some of the basic household needs such as food, medical care among others.

Speaker of parliament Hon Rebecca Kadaga was moved and inspired by the story that described Nabirye as the bread winner of the four including mother and father.

On Friday 4th January, 2019, speaker Rebecca Kadaga provided food and household items including mattresses and blankets to the family of Elizabeth in Busulu Zone Kamuli district.

“I am impressed that a girl living with albinism isn’t hindered by her condition and is working hard to get the best for her family, ” she stated

She added that she will help to set up a Kiosk to help her increase her income and better fund for the family.

The move by the speaker to provide an extra source of income is aimed at improving the livelihood of  the family and also  promote the spirit of hard work in the area.
