President Yoweri Museveni is back from London the British capital where he attended the 4th conference on Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT) that was also addressed by the Duke of Cambridge Prince William, President Mokgweetsi Masisi of Botswana, President Ali Bongo Ondimba of Gabon, among others.
President Museveni emphasized to the conference that issues of illegal wildlife trade cannot be divorced from poverty and that countries must strive to get their people out of poverty through sustainable tourism, investment, trade and industrialization.
He also stressed that the structure of the society in Africa needs to change as happened in Europe.
While in the British capital the President also made a passionate plea to the British business community to invest in Africa and in Uganda in particular saying they have the skills, capital, entrepreneurship and knowledge to make profit while the continent of Africa needs to create jobs and factories.
The President was received on arrival at Entebbe International Airport this evening by the Head of Public Service, Mr. John Mitala and senior security officials.
