Morris Wangolo 24, a resident of Kisitu Island, has been arrested by Katosi Police in Mukono for allegedly raping a 1 year old toddler.
The terrible incident happened on April 04, 2018.
Eye witnesses reveal that Wangolo tricked the toddler that he had some sweets in his room.
“He told the kid to get some sweets from his room. When the kid entered, he followed her and started feasting on her,” reveals the eyewitness.
It is the noise of the toddler that attracted residents who came and found Wangolo’s Zip wide open, his machete stiff and spitting venom.
The angry residents gave Wangolo a thorough beating before being taken to police.
Both the toddler and the suspect were taken to a police surgeon at Mukono Hospital for examination.
The suspect and the girl were examined by a police doctor on police form 24A and 3A respectively and he was found to be a mentally sound adult.
The medical report confirmed that the toddler had been forcefully defiled, hymen freshly torn and a white discharge in the girl’s private parts, suggestive of the presence of semen was found.
A charge sheet for aggravated defilement and the file has submitted to the Resident State Attorney in Mukono Magistrates Court for advice.
