You Need Devine Intervention — Museveni Tells Karama People

1 Mins read

President Yoweri Museveni has encouraged the people of Uganda, especially the youth, to pray constantly for divine guidance and intervention in the challenges that they face.

“I become happy when I find a group of people praying together especially the youth. Christianity helped me to avoid all sorts of bad behaviour,” he said.

The President made the remarks yesterday when he joined thousands of Christians at the Yesu Ahuriire, Karama in Nyakayojo Division in Mbarara Municipality.

The weeklong annual event is organized by Rev. Fr. John Baptist Bashobora, who is the coordinator of the Charismatic Renewal Movement in Mbarara Archdiocese and attended by government officials, diplomats and Christians from several countries around the world.

President Museveni, who congratulated the congregation upon reaching the New Year 2018, thanked them for gathering together to pray. He advised on the upgrading of the facility to have hostels for worshippers.

The President, who donated Shs.30 million to the Centre and pledged to clear their debts, also promised to provide the centre with transformers, ambulances and a public address system
