President Museveni has said that his government will arrest and arraign in court all those people who promote sectarianism and divisionism among Ugandans.

President Museveni said this while reacting to a video in which a yet to be identified man said that Bahima should not marry Bairu.

“I told you here when we’re burying your dad that if you really love me, never marry Bairu,” the man is heard telling the groom before adding that “If that woman is from Bairu I will curse you.”

This didn’t go well with the president since he says that the NRM government has been promoting unity among different cultures in the country.

“There are fools, enemies and hopeless people that disturbed my Christmas, There are people that were on a party and some was uttering words that disunite Ugandans and as NRM we discourage this,” the President said in a Video sent out to different media houses.

The President further explained that we are one people but traditionally we had different professions hence the originality of some words like Bairu, Abahingi, Abaliisa and many others.
