Facebook-owned Instagram has rolled out a new update, which will enable users to go live with a friend and an option to add people who are watching the live video. The update is available for both Android and iOS operating systems.
The company introduced the Live video feature in November last year and since then it has rolled out various features around the same. In order to use the feature, users just need to tap on the add button to add or invite anyone who is watching the live video.
As soon as a new user joins in, the screen will then split into two and your friend will appear below you. Along with this, you will also have the ability to add or remove people anytime during the live session and same way people can also exit on their own whenever they want. When a live session has ended then you can either add it to stories or discard it.
The app will show two circles attached together in the stories bar when someone you follow is live with their friend.
Recently, Instagram revamped its ‘Direct’ messages feature. Instagram users will now be able to reply to a text in Direct messages using multimedia, which means both photos and videos. The reply can be made on any post, no matter if it’s a photo, video or re-shared post. Instagram says that the reply made by the user will automatically turn into a sticker. “Just hit “reply” to open the camera, take a selfie, and send,” adds the Instagram blog post.
What’s more is that users can send a split screen reply as well. “Now you also have the option to send a split-screen reply by tapping on the sticker. Add your own perspective by drawing on the sticker, whether you’re painting a moustache on your friend’s selfie or doodling on a beach photo,” says the post.
