81 New COVID-19 Cases Registered As Death Toll Rises to 30

Uganda has today registered 81 new cases of COVID-19 according to Ministry of Health.

The cumulative total confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 2,928.

The also registered one COVID-19 death and now the toll stands at 30.

The deceased is a Ugandan male aged 65 years and a resident of Mbale.

Of the cases, 67 were contacts and alerts from the community.

Kampala had 32cases, Kiryandongo had 9 cases, Kitgum had 7cases, Wakiso had 4 cases, Mukono had 4 cases, Iganga had 3 cases, Jinja had 2 cases, Gulu had 2 cases, Mbale had 1 case, Oyam had 1 case, Bundibugyo one 1case and Namisindwa 1case.

Several workers also tested positive for COVID-19 and 4 from Lira, 3 from Kampala, 3 from Moroto, one from Jinja and one from Tororo.

11 foreign truck drivers tested positive for COVID-19 at the border and their entry into the country was not permitted.
